"Experience left me in shock"

About: Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Walk in Centre

(as the patient),

I came in to the walk in centre due to burn on my face as doctors prescribed me incorrect zinc to apply on my face and half my face is burnt and I am being tested for PKU.

I am stressed and feeling suicidal and the doctor who called me in was rude and then said you missed a blood test and because of people like you the nhs is losing money.

I work full time battling depression and anxiety and many other health concerns and this is the 1st time I come to walk in cente and I was left terrified and angry. So I had left after the 1 hour wait as I felt I had been discriminated. I had gone to visit the hospital.

Dear Ahsan

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, we're sorry you had a poor experience at the Urgent Care Centre.

We expect high standards of our staff throughout the facility and take our responsibility to provide fair and equitable access to services very seriously. If these standards are not maintained then we are keen to find out why. We would be keen to follow up with you to see if there is something we could do better.

We would really like to investigate further and apologise directly, would you be able to contact us on customercare@nottinghamcitycare.nhs.uk or 0115 883 9654 to discuss? Or if you have a preferred contact method / number then please let us know.

Kind regards

The Patient Experience Team
