"They made me laugh out loud"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I attended today for a colonoscopy for abdominal pain.

Plus’s: Nursing staff were very attentive, reassuring and informative, especially Julie and Pam who were in the room with me, they kept me at ease and kept me distracted with their conversation which I was included in at all times. (They even made me laugh out loud! ) Made the test so much easier.

Minus’s: No receptionist, no one to take letter- only a cold waiting area and a phone with a notice to call. Surely weekends should not make a difference to the working week.

Dear Thrown820

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback about your recent visit to endoscopy.

It was lovely to read that Julie and Pam were able to put you at ease and support you well during your procedure and I will be sure to share your post with them.

I take your point about your arrival at the unit and this is something that we will discuss as a team to consider what we can do to make this better for our patients.

I hope that you have made a good recovery from your procedure.

Thank you and kind regards

Gill
