About: Tenbury & District Hospital

What could be improved

Very poor comunication between staff on different shifts. Not a friendly environment to be in, a few smiles when my sister was ill could have gone a long way. Staff spend more time drinking tea and eating biscuits in the office than caring for patients, maybe this was just during visiting hours but it looks very unprofessional. No obvious sign of leadership. Where was the Matron?

We are sorry that you have a negative experience at Tenbury Hospital. We strive to provide the highest possible standards of care for our patients at all times. If people have concerns we encourage them to let a member of staff know straight away so that we can put things right. We do have a Matron at Tenbury and she is available to talk to patients and visitors about any issues which are worrying them and there are posters up in the hospital which advertise this. We have reminded staff that when they are on their breaks they should have their tea and biscuits away from patient areas. If you still have issues please contact the hospital and ask to speak to the Matron.
