About: BMI Woodlands Hospital

What I liked

As an NHS patient I have experienced clinical care from two hospitals and given a choice I would opt for the Wood lands everytime. There is probably no difference in the clincal expertise of the medical staff and the outcome of my treatment. However, the patient experience is far superior at the Wood lands. Whilst I accept that a large acute hospital is dealing with a much greater numbers of patients, the basic care of nursing staff, staff attitude, cleanliness, privacy and dignity, nutrition and general professionalism is superior at the Woodlands. The NHS could learn a lot from them. I have recommended

the Woodlands to many people and without exception they all feel the same as I do. In the long term I hope the choice agenda will raise the standards in NHS hospitals to the level that the Woodlands currently provide.
