My children have been treated by different members of CAMHs Benton staff for the past 10 years and I have almost always felt grateful for the quality of care we have gotten. There is obviously a serious lack of funding for mental health departments within the NHS. I regularly hear horror stories about the lack of support and provisions for children with special needs. Our experience hasn't been perfect. In ten years there have been times when we've had to wait (way too long) for treatment, there has been times of disorganisation with appointments, but I have to give them five stars because the staff members – despite the lack of resources - are truly dedicated to what they do (which I think has to do with the hiring standards of the person who runs the practice) and it's clear that they are making as much effort as possible to get it right. I don't think anyone could do more within this system.
"Genuinely Caring Staff."
