"Extended stay"

About: Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre

I was admitted to Barlborough on Tuesday 24th January for a hip replacement unfortunately due to previous problems my hip dislocated twice and so I was operated on again the following Tuesday.

I cannot express how grateful i was that this happened while I was still at Barlborough.

After the second op things well but I was monitored extremely attentively.

My long stay in Barlborough was 'enjoyable' if that can be used in such circumstances.

All medical staff - doctors, physios, nurses caltering and cleaning staff were so friendly and kind.

- the nighttime staff were very comforting in my low times.

All in all Barlborough was the place to be for me and I can't recommend it enough.

Thank you to everyone !!

Dear Valerie,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on the Barlborough NHS Choices website.

People find it hard to believe when I tell them that patients actually say that they enjoyed their stay with us and I'm glad you did too.

Sorry to hear of your dislocations, unfortunately this can happen sometimes but at least you were in the right place when it did.

We all hope you make a quick recovery and have no further complications.

With very best wishes, Mandy J Miller - PA to Steve Booker, Hospital Director and Marco La Malfa, Medical Director.
