What I liked

All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional and worked well together. They did not patronise me or my daughter and told us everything we needed to know.

There was good physio and OT and everything seemed so thorough from the initial assessment to leaving hospital.

A year ago I was in St Helens Hospital and the contrast could not have been greater. Here I had more flexibile visiting, edible food, TV and phone and I did NOT catch any infections. When I needed help staff responded quicky. This is how NHS treatment should be.

I saw the consultant within 8 days and had my operation only 11 days later. I am so pleased that my daughter found out about this hospital as it was not on the list that I was sent from Choose and Book.

What could be improved

Think about facilties for in-patients with severe hearing impairment. A loop system in some wards would be really helpful.
