I changed my hospital during the 34th week of pregnancy as I moved to Southwark council area. At first I was apprehensive as I felt that the change was at almost the last moment, but thankfully everything was smooth. The care at St Thomas was excellent, right from the routine appointments to induction process and delivery. The hospital staff, midwives etc were extremely nice and made my stay very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the birth centre to anyone I know. The only drawback I felt was the postnatal ward which is not staffed well and some of the breastfeeding experts were very rude. My baby had a tongue tie issue which wasn't identified and was diagnosed 2 weeks later by a midwife who came home for check up. I wish the postnatal staff had picked this up sooner.
In all I am happy with my experience and will plan my next delivery here itself!
"Great experience overall"
