"Excellent Care"

Thank you to all the staff at St James for the excellent care given to my 93 year old mum last weekend. The improvements we saw since her last admission several years ago were very impressive.

She was admitted to Ward 28 and the staff member who booked her in did so with great efficiency, care and humour, even at the end of a long and incredibly busy shift. She was moved the next day to Ward 21 where the staff were just as caring and efficient. I was greatly reassured by my mum’s comment that “everyone is so gentle”.

All staff worked really hard and treated all the patients with dignity and respect at all times. Although very busy they were all cheerful and caring.

The standard of cleanliness and hygiene we saw could not be faulted. The meals were 100% better than a few years ago and were delivered hot with a hot pudding served once the main course was finished with. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the system of food preparation and delivery.

The medical care was excellent throughout and mum is now home and feeling much better so a big thank you to all involved for their great work and caring attitude which made all the difference.
