"Appalling eating disorder unit"

Bethlehem eating disorder unit is a place never to send a love one if you them to recover. The staff are rude uncaring and very controlling. You can not approach them for help and there is never any one to help. They treat the patients like school kids and the demand that you eat rather then encourage you. They take and take rather then give. The staff have no experience or knowledge of eating disorders and are there cause they get paid rather then be there cause they care. I would never recommend this eating disorder unit to anyone. Maudsley outpatients is much better better staff and more caring. This unit the bethlem tyson wing urgently needs reviewing from higher up as there are failures and stuff going on in this unit that needs looking in to. This is not an eating disorder unit at all it a shambles from start to finish. They are never on time with meals or medsand staff never apologise for their mistakes. I would not recommend this unit to any one who truly wants to recover.
