What I liked

My mother has recently had a quite serious operation in this hospital. She received adequate care, and when complications developed, the staff in charge, were apparently very thorough, and provided excellent emergency care.

What could be improved

We are unsure of the details though, as no-one, seemed to think it important to explain what happened, another patient, gave most of the details. Which were also briefly mentioned by the nurses in passing.

Being the youngest person on the ward, she was given it seems the most respect.

And found it uncomfortable, to see how other more needy, elderly ladies around her, were repeatedly ignored, by the staffnever they requested assistance. It seemed that the nurses, were more inclined to huddle together just outside the ward having a chat.

My mother not wanting to interfere, had to remind the staff herself, of the ignored,and apparently uninportant, repeated legitimate pleas of an elderly lady obviously in need, not just ignored by one staff member, but by several for up to an hour.

My mother it seems was shown more respect, and was imediatelly acknowledged, therefore finally allowing the other patient some comfort.
