What I liked

I had arthroscopic knee surgery , the staff were really friendly and helpful, I was admitted at 08:00, had surgery at 10:30, and after a really nice freshly made Tuna & Cucumber sandwich, and lots of cups of tea, was ready for discharge by 14:00.

The unit had to manage 10 operations throughout the day with only 6 or 7 bed places, I saw the staff thoroughly strip and scrub the bed places between patients.

I would definately recommend this unit for day surgery.

What could be improved

The admitance letter said there were parking soem parking spaces available, as well as a seperate staff car park.

I arrived early to try and enusre I had a parking space, even though I was the frist patient to arrive, all the parking spaces were taken, apparently by locals. Perhaps the Unit could monitor which cars are parking on a daily basis, or perhaps give patients who need one, a parking permission slip.
