"Terrible"

About: Rivers Hospital

I was seen by the gynaecology department at the end of January. After examination, I was told that I did not have the condition I (and several other doctors) thought I had, but something different. The doctor then went on to talk about diabetes, smoking, and weight, all of which have nothing to do with the condition(s). I informed them that I was tested for diabetes last May, when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, so I did not need another test. The said thgey would get hold of those results, and refer me to a dermatologist.

They sent me home with cream that seems completely irrelevant to either condition, and the pharmacist told me a completely different way to apply it, so receiving conflicting information is particularly annoying.

Since my appointment, I have tried to call this doctor several times, to no avail. Nobody seems to know what they were going to do, or what they have done. I have not been contacted by phone or post. I have no idea where my treatment is going, or what will happen next. I am absolutely appalled at such poor treatment. I'm convinced that they have misdiagnosed me, and passed me off with the typical excuses. I have left a message with their secretary today, and am still awaiting a response.
