"Awful service to my mother"

About: Colchester General Hospital / General medicine

My mother is in Colchester general as we speak. I feel so let down and frighten for my mother wellbeing in there.

She entered the hospital at the start of the year and was treated with gastroenteritis as that was told what she had. Had no xray scan, sent home with no medicine even though her levels wasn't right.

She suffer a further 2 weeks with terrible pain and diarrhoea. To then returned to A and E once more. To finally get a xray to find obstruction in bowel. Since this period hardly anything been done. Scans are promised then cancelled. Mishaps of treatment, one including thinking she was a diabetic patient and was told my myself that she's not. Everything is dealt with, with lack of care, thought of how my mother must be feeling. She is weak, tired and so fed up with day in day out of making little progress. She is losing her fight. We are now in process of making a official complaint. How scary though a hospital that is meant to look after you and feel confident in there care. Is left us with a feeling is she going to make it out of there.
