Last Saturday I started experience considerable abdominal pain. Sunday afternoon at approximately 3.45pm I went to the Uckfield Hospital and was seen by a doctor.

I was in too much pain to remember their name.

I would like to thank them for prompt diagnosis of appendicitis and for chasing around to get me down to Eastbourne hospital as soon as possible.

For their information a gangrenous appendix was removed by surgery at about 8.30pm.

I was discharged on Tuesday morning and am currently recovering at home. Very sore but feeling much better.

I would also like to praise the female ambulance crew for their help. Again I was in too much pain to remember their names
