Went into Barlborough 6th Jan - new left knee 7th - discharge 11th - first day home a bit rocky - could not eat and could not get warm - a good night's sleep and a lovely sunny day 12th felt different - nurse came on Tuesday 15th to change dressing - all exactly as it should be - each day brings more confidence and strength. I now cook at least one hot meal a day and do most of my housework. Not free from pain - well more of an ache than a pain - but that will diminish each day . It was the best decision I could have made to go into Barlborough. Looking forward to the Spring weather and being able to walk and cycle again.
