"Long wait for urology surgery"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Urology

(as the patient),

I have been waiting since last August for surgery. I had my premed in early August, I phoned to see what was happening about my appointment and was told my surgeon had left, I then received a letter of apology say that they regreted that an appointment could not be given to me within the 12 week period, this letter was in late November. I then phoned urology department of appointments PRI in January and was told there was nothing for me and that because of the length of time since my pre med they would try and get me in before the end of march. I phoned them again in early February and was told that there was no appointment for me in March.

On reviewing our recent Patient Opinion posts, I see that I have failed to respond to you regarding your wait for a urology appointment. Please accept my sincere apologies for this omission.

To enable me to look into the current situation regarding your appointment, I would be grateful if you could telephone me on 0800 027 5507 (freephone).

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

Alison Moss
