What I liked
I was referred to Charing Cross for a relatively minor operation on a rectal prolapse. The surgeon did an excellent job, and the nursing staff were kind, pleasant and helpful - I couldn't have asked for any better treatment.
I was perhaps lucky to have been put into the new part of the hospital - the Riverside Ward - for my overnight stay: this was excellent and clean (one of my fellow patients said that the other wards were not as nice). The food was also surprisingly good, given the reputation of NHS food!
Overall, I would be happy to go back there for this type of treatment.
