What I liked

I have been attending the Rheumatology department since January 2006. On every occasion, my partner and I have been extremely impressed with the level of patient care and depth of knowledge shown by the doctors we have seen. All necessary tests and investigations have been carried out at regular intervals and the results scrutinised and fully explained at each follow up appointment. It is so reassuring to know that I can have every confidence in their care and expertise related to my condition. I speak not only as a former nurse but also as a current worker in the health service who is also being followed up regularly for an unrelated incurable condition at another hospital and so, not only do I have plenty of experiences with which to compare to that of Charing Cross but I also know what standard of care I should be receiving - a standard which is sadly lacking elsewhere, both locally and in London. I cannot speak highly enough of the Rheumatology department and Charing Cross Hospital as a whole.
