About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / General surgery

I visited the Endoscopy unit today for a sigmoidoscopy. From arriving at the unit through to leaving the unit the staff were first class. I was immediately put me at ease and the whole process was explained with a chance to ask any questions. Before, during and after my procedure the staff were friendly, talkative, informative and totally professional. I believe the new unit opened in March 2016 and I was extremely impressed to say the least.

An area on your own with your own WC and as much privacy as you needed. I was looked after very well indeeed. Highly recommended.
