One is treated like an item on a production line, not as an intelligent and sensitive entity. The environment is definitely not conducive for a good and efficient rehabilitation. The noise, light, staff behaviour et al inhibits that essential thing – SLEEP and restfulness. It is only now that I have recovered enough (‘PTSD’) to make this representation.
On one occasion whilst I was having routine ‘bloods’ taken a nurse suddenly appeared hovering above me and suddenly and unexpectedly plunged a needle/syringe vertically and painfully into my arm. This resulted in swelling and discolouration of most of my lower arm. - None of the staff appeared concerned about this. A written complaint was sent shortly afterwards to CIC complaints.
It took 3 repeats of this straight forward simply detailed complaint before it was acknowledged, due to the apparent inability of the recipient to understand simple English or simply couldn’t be bothered to read it properly. It has turned out to be a total irritating and waste of time anyway as I have still not heard anything further !!?
