After suffering for several years with chronic fatigue syndrome I was referred by my GP to the Bolton and Bury CFS/ME service at Breightmet Health Centre.
I have now completed the Lifestyle Management Programme which has helped me understand and develop long term self management of the illness. The programme was six sessions of one hour each and involved learning strategies which help me to manage CFS/ME symptoms. The sessions were fortnightly.
The professional guidance and support I received has been invaluable and is ongoing. The staff delivering the programme understood the illness and were a credit to the NHS.
