"Dr Wight should be an inspiration to all GPs"

About: Rustlings Road Medical Centre Sheffield PCT

(as the patient),

Having come back off my holiday feeling terrible, flu like symptoms I went to my GP at Rustlings Road Medical Centre. He immediately knew I wasn't myself and was very ill.

Tests were done immediately, as it was approaching the weekend I knew the GP would be closed, but my GP called me on the phone over the weekend to check on my progress.

On realising I was getting worse, he called infectious diseases ward and I was admitted straight away. After many tests and 2 weeks of feeling absolutely shocking, it showed I had recently had glandular fever.

Leaving me with recurrent tonsilitis and strep throat and lots of attempts at treating it, the GP referred me to the hospital for a tonsilectomy. Since then I have been feeling great, and am thankful for such a great GP.

I have to say from my experience, I have a fantastic, caring, professional GP. There is nothing that should change within the practice, as the service they provide is excellent. Dr Wight should be an inspiration to all GPs.
