"Hospital correspondence for cancer care"

About: Douglas Macmillan Hospice Royal Stoke University Hospital

(as a friend),

A friend in the terminal stages of cancer was transported to the City University Hospital for a meeting with a cancer team only to be told that the meeting had been cancelled. The hospice had been informed - by post - but stated that it has no record of the letter.

Surely, such corresponence should be sent by email with a delivery receipt pop-up so that the sender is assured that the message has been received with no room for dispute.

Apart from any other consideration, it is cheaper.
