I recently had a fall at home, and fractured my ankle in 2 places. An ambulance was called, and I had a first responder, who then called an ambulance, by which I was transferred to hospital.
There was a short wait in A&E initially to be seen, but the staff were great. Once I had been seen and X-rayed there was a several hour wait for a bed on a ward. I really want to commend Tina that was looking after me. I have issues with using toilets at the best of times, and cannot under any circumstances (despite being absolutely desperate) use a bed pan especially with numerous people around me, and Tina kindly assisted me into a space away from everyone and onto a commode, I cannot explain the relief.
I also want to thank the staff that assisted me on ward 9, but particularly some familiar faces on ward 20B and 20C ( have other issues and been on this ward before)
Sorry for the inconvenience I caused you, but THANK YOU so much for all your help.
