"Sitting in 'the garden of paradise'"

About: Capwell Grange

(as a relative),

Milliner House cares for people living with dementia. The care staff have a difficult job to do each and every day, without the expectation of thanks from the residents who no longer function as they used to.

Master-minded by the 'green-fingered' senior sister, Mrs Sibimole Punnose (Sibi for short), the staff have created an amazing summer garden for the residents to enjoy.

Plants were grown from seed on the window sills of the home and now there is aforest of sunflowers, a pathway of dahlias, a French-style garden section planted with flowers and vegetables.

There are flowers of every colour and type, strawberries, runner beans, spinach, cabbages, pumpkin, herbs and tomatoes.

We all know that it is hard work to raise and look after a garden. This project has been achieved on top of normal duties. One resident said she was sitting in 'the garden of paradise'.
