"Leeds A&E is a miserable place"

I dislocated my shoulder playing football, and had to go to Leeds A&E to get it checked out.

I have to say, it was one of the most depressing places I have ever been in. Dirty, rundown, with an all-pervading aura of put-upon downtrodden-ness. The staff were grumpy and short-tempered, and treated patients like annoyances.

The doctor I eventually saw was a bit more civil, but the overall impression from the rest of the staff was one of irritation, stress and overwork.
