About: Broomfield Hospital / Dermatology

I was referred by my GP under the urgent 2 week wait system. I was contacted by the hospital within 1 week by phone and a convenient and timely appt. was made. This was followed up by written confirmation of my appt. date and time. I attended the Dermatology out pt. clinic on 2 occasions and each time was directed to the appropriate area by courteous front desk staff. I was called in to see the consultant at my designated time by polite and professional nursing staff. On each occasion I was treated with respect and dignity by nursing and medical staff alike. The consultant's manner was exceptional. They explained things thoroughly, were reassuring, and offered me time to ask questions. On the day of my proceedure the consultant again explained things clearly in a quiet but reassuring way. The nurse was very calming and supported me throughout the proceedure. The whole episode followed the outline and timespan that was originally set, and thankfully my recent results were positive. I would like to say a big "well done" and "thank-you" to all of the staff who dealt with me.
