"Positive experience with a women's health physiotherapist"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

I have had problems with my pelvic floor muscles for years (pre and post childbirth) I was recently referred to a physiotherapist having seen a GP, 2 consultants and had input in the past from a physiotherapist. The advice and treatment I received from the women's health physiotherapist at grantham hospital was excellent. She was highly professional whilst dealing with sensitive issues and her knowledge and skills were amazing. She spent a lot of time educating me about the muscles of the pelvic floor and taught me excercises to help strengthen them. She discussed a self management plan with me to enable me to continue to help myself. Since seeing her my quality of life has improved significantly and my symptoms have reduced dramatically. I am so grateful to her for the difference she has made to my life and would recommend her to any woman who is experiencing symptoms of weak pelvic floor muscles.
