"Not happy with the service"

About: Bolton PCT

(as a relative),

I went to a surgery in bolton with my young child complaining of severe tummy pain and constantly being sick.

The out of hour G.P told me to give my child some natural yogurt when I get home, in my opinion the GP did not fully examine my child who remained seated while the stomach was quickly touched.

I felt that the GP was not intrested in the paitient and just wanted to get rid of us and I was told to take my child to see my own doctor in the morning.

I thought an out of hour practice is there to give you a service not to tell you to wait and receive treatment and to be told to go and see your own doctor, especaily when the patient has an ongoing problem.

One other thing I thought the doctor would tell us was to cut out all dairy products when you got vomiting and diarrhea.

I am sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations when you visited this service with your child.

We would like to discuss your experiences further and would be grateful if you would contact Jacqui Bliss, Urgent Care Services manager on 01204 462311. This will help us improve things for other patients.
