"Investigations into breast lump"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Breast Services

(as the patient),

Having found a lump in my breast the week before Christmas, I visited my GP who referred me to the breast clinic at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. I had a mammogram at the beginning of Jan and attended clinic E recently.

Myself and a nurse friend who accompanied me, both found the whole clinic E service an excellent one. In just over an hour, I was seen and examined both by a clinical nurse specialist named Alison and the consultant Mr Bourne, had an ultrasound scan performed and was given the results ( thankfully good results ). To have all the examinations and scans done on the same day and in the same place is very efficient and a wonderful service. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and professional. Alison in particular was very knowledgable and reassuring. To have a GP appointment through to full investigations and results in less than a month over the festive period deserves praise in my opinion. Well done Clinic E

Dear J999

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. What a worrying time you must have had over the holiday time however I am really glad to hear that you were seen so quickly and that all was well. I will make sure that your feedback is shared with Alison, Mr Bourne and all the team who will be delighted to hear how their care felt to you.
