"Staff went above and beyond the duty of care"

About: County Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

My father was admitted to ward 233. Sadly, he passed away a day later. I cannot praise the staff on the ward enough, as they excelled in their profession. This provided much comfort to myself, mum and brother, who went above and beyond the duty of care that was expected. In particular, there was a health care support worker on the night shift (whose name I really wish I had got) who was so very kind and gentle with my mum.

Sincere thanks to you all.

Dear JO78,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your Father. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on your experience of Ward 233, particularly during such a difficult time for you and your family.

I will share your kind words with the team on Ward 233 who I know will appreciate reading them.

With best wishes

Rebecca Smith, Quality Improvement Facilitator: Patient Experience.
