"A Visit to A & E with Chest Pain"

For many years I have subscribed to private health insurance and have been scornful of NHS treatments I have experienced.

Now retired, I can no longer afford such insurance. I recently attended Fairfield A & E suffering with chest pain and breathlessness.

The service I received was nothing short of wonderful - on a par with any private treatment I had previously received.

While I was in A& E for 3 and a half hours, i was kept informed at each stage of the process and I found the staff to be patient, courteous and thoroughly professional throughout.

I was seen within minutes by triage and reassured that I was not in danger.

I had ecg, chest X-ray , blood taken and was examined within a reasonable amount of time.

In conclusion, my diagnosis was given as infection related and I was given medication and sent home.
