"Right hand does not know what the left hand is..."

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I was just visiting a patient in d26. Buzzer went off for over 10 minutes. Staff all standing around in hallway. When they did answer the poor woman who needed them they said they were rushed off their feet. The ward was dirty especially the windows.

On my 2nd visit lady inwashinbed eas getting ready to go home. They had chsnged the bed and lady said I am going home today it would save you changing bed again if you waIted and also save washing. She was told oh its ok we dont do the washing. No wonder the hospitals dont have tbe money to treat patients. Gone are the days where nurses and doctors care some do I will admit. But when you spend 3 days taking up a bed in constant pain have a few tests and then sent home with a box of paparacetam. Erm excuse me for caring. Even I can see there is something drasticslly wrong when somone is constantly on the toilet passing blood since April last year!!!! Think it is time for action and not money in some fat cats pocket!!!!

We are very concerned to hear about your recent visit to Ward B26. We would like to look into this as thoroughly and quickly as possible - if you were able to contact the hospital Help and Advice Service by telephone on 0191 569 9855, Freephone 08005876513 or by email Helpandadviceservice@chsft.nhs.uk we can take some more details and look into this issue further. In the meantime I have shared your review with our relevant manager.
