"Spire Parkway put profits.before patient care."

About: Spire Parkway Hospital

I have just returned home from a three day stay at Spire Parkway hospital Solihull. I had a full abdominal hysterectomy and was moved to a ward for post operative recovery and convalescence, where I and other patients were subjected to 1st and second fix building work from 8am to 6 pm everyday. I never managed to sleep or rest due to the constant jackhammers, drilling, hammers and builders noise. please do not go to Spire park hospital in Solihull if you have a private operation booked, ask you consultant for another hospital. I was a private Bupa patient and will be taking it up with Bupa,The quality care commission and Spire Parkway.I have recorded what the patients had to endure and am shocked that a hospital would expose their patients to such distress and increased risk of infection.

Thank you for your feedback and be assured we are sorry for the inconvenience. We regret that a small number of patients may have been disturbed by some of the building work recently, which was due to our patient rooms being refurbished.

The heavy building work has now finished and we hope that by the end of February we will have completed our refurbishment programme.

We do hope you are recovering well.
