"Referral to One Stop Breast Care Unit"

What a wonderful service and team. My own experience can only be described as exceptional, this also goes for my GP service at Ashcrft surgery. I found a lump in my breast on Sunday 9th Jan 2017, got an on the day appointment at GP surgery on 10th Jan 2017 where I was examined by Dr who made a referral there and then to breast clinic at St Luke's and informed me I could be seen at St Luke's on Friday 13th Jan 2017. I found My experience at St Luke's very reassuring, saw the consultant, had a mammogram and ultrasound whilst at same appointment and was given my results there and then, which in my own case where thankfully great results however if the results hadn't been what I was hoping for, knowing I would have found out there and then and presuming I would then have been informed what the next steps would have been in terms of treatment would also have been I feel less anxiety provoking than having to go away and wait for results. I have nothing but praise and admiration for this wonderful service that Bradford Hopitals offers. The whole team from the receptionist that greeted me to the nursing team, consultant and also Dr to the lovely nurse that did my mammogram and ultrasound you are all truly professional and quite brilliant.
