"111: walk-in Emergency with respiratory problems"

About: Watford General Hospital

There were no ambulances or Paramedics available as they were all busy but I was greeted at Reception unable to draw enough breath to speak and was dealt with immediately. The whole hospital was so busy with many more patients than usual but throughout the day, tests were carried out quickly and my breathing assisted. Admitted in the evening and with the concerted efforts of Consultants, Doctors and Nursing staff within seven days I was discharged from Aldenham Ward feeling 100% better than on my arrival. Thanking everyone involved. Penny
