"Poor communication, ability to speak with..."

About: Friarage Hospital Site / Rehabilitation

My mother is in the rehab ward. On numerous occasions on trying to get put through either phones not answered or when put through can't transfer to mobile phone or if it does get put through the phone doesn't work with very poor/intermittent reception. Perhaps isolation and lack of communication are conducive to rehabilitation, but I am unaware of anything that suggests that is true. Need to try a lot harder to keep patients/relatives in loop, morale up and see it as important to better outcomes

Good afternoon

Thank you for leaving comments on the NHS Choices Website raising concerns about what I presume to be the Rutson Ward at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.

I am very sorry that you cause to raise concerns around communication problems on the Ward.

Please be assured that your comments and concerns will be passed on to senior staff in that area to make them aware of the problems you have experienced.

If you would like some feedback, please contact me on the number below to discuss taking these issues forward through the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) or the formal complaints route.

Kind regards
