"The treatment he received from admission to discharge was excellent"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Clinical haematology Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Internal Medicine Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Short Stay Surgery

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to Ward 101 then moved to 105 he later went to 210 where he had a biopsy and then he was moved to 112 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma and had chemotherapy 1 week after his biopsy. The treatment he received from admission to discharge was excellent. Our only issue was getting to talk to someone about him on the phone. We resolved this by taking him a mobile phone to keep in daily contact with him as we live out of town.

We read too many negative stories about the NHS but we really couldn't it fault his care.

Many thanks for your lovely comments Lammillie,

I will share with the wards involved. It means a lot to us to know that our patients are cared for and looked after as if they were our own family. We don't always get it right but strive to deliver the best care to each individual and feedback such as this gives the whole team a lift.

I'm glad you managed to resolve the phone issue and would welcome any other suggestions you might have to further improve our environment and facilities.
