"A domestic was rude to me and staff members"

About: Workington Community Hospital

(as the patient),

I've been in Workington hospital several times now and the staff are fantastic.

The only thing that lets this ward down is one domestic staff member. I witnessed her calling a staff member thick on several occasions and because I had a drink problem she told me to sort myself out and people like me "are worth nothing". Who does she think she is?

Thank you for your posting. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to feedback your experience.

I am dissapointed that your experience of being a patient at the Workington Infirmary was made so unpleasant by a member of the domestic staff. We expect all members of staff to act with the utmost curtesy and respect at all times to all patients. I will ensure that your comments are fed back to the Matron and that this will be looked into so that it does not happen again.
