I very rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to do so to express my thanks to the staff at George Ellitot for the excellent care and treatment I have received. I initially received treatment from the Endocrine team (within diabetes team I think), which was clearly extremely busy but still sought to answer my queries fully. Subsequently I have had my thyroid removed. The surgeon explained and reassured me on the procedure I was to go through. On the day of surgery all staff (surgeon, anaesthetist and nurses) were supportive and explained to me what was happening. In addition the staff on the Victoria ward were very attentive in looking after me after the surgery. I have never required any treatment in hospital before so I was very trepidatious but felt all staff were very diligent in their care. I am extremely appreciative of this, in particular given the pressures the NHS is under.
