I had surgery last year in Feb for a herniated disc on l5-s1 which was compressing the nerve oh how I regret this operation as it's created so much more pain and even new diagnosis of other areas of my spine the consultant is very dismissive of my condition and blames this result on my degenerative disc disease I now have chronic severe pain on both sides of lower back which is constant and when flares up with the littlest of activity is debilitating.i have just spent 9 days in hospital(local) with intense pain and was unabl to move I have been diagnosed with ilio lumbar ligament syndrome by a rhumotologist at my local hospital and was informed this happened on the operating table.my quality of life is so poor at the minute and the level of care from the spinal consultant is shocking they ordered another MRI to which the results have come back as if they were being polite to do this for me I am due to see them in clinic but have lost trust if I'm honest I am thinking of getting another referral to another consultant as my condition still needs treating.
