"Wards are well and efficiently run and staff..."

About: King George Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was admitted via A&E for pneumonia and stayed 10 days in KGV on two wards - Medical Assessment and Gardenia.

The medical and nursing staff were caring and efficient and the ancillary staff, including cleaners and catering staff were uniformly pleasant and diligent.

The food (vegetarian option) was good and there was a good choice.

There were always good supplies of clean linen from the laundry.

I was surprised and pleased by the good standards of cleanliness and care.

The nursing staff did seem to be rather overworked and their shift patterns seemed very inconvenient and likely to cause exhaustion.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment following your recent stay in King George Hospital.

It is wonderful to read that all of the staff on both Medical Assessment ward and Gardenia ward was both caring and efficient during your stay and that we exceeded your expectations.

I will ensure that your comments are passed to the Divisional Nurse for these areas to ensure that your thanks are passed onto all of the staff.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment.

Yours sincerely

Kathryn Halford
