About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My grandson was born on Boxing day and had inhaled meconium, so developed a chest infection, and had to go to ICU as he had to get his antibiotics through his cord.

I would like to put on record the wonderful and prompt treatment he received throughout his stay - in ICU, HDU and the maternity ward. The doctors and nurses were absolutely fantastic during what was a very traumatic time for all of us. I cannot praise them enough. At all times, everything that was being done was explained, and support given. The maternity unit at Crosshouse has had a bad press recently, but, in this instance, they were superb. Take a bow, all of you.

Congratulations grannyB,

This must have been very traumatic for you and all the family, but I am so glad it all worked out well. Your wee miracle must be made of strong stuff. I will be particularly delighted to pass this to the team at this time, it will do wonders for them, I am sure.
