"The whole team were brilliant"

I had a minor gynae procedure under GA in the day unit at Crosshouse Hospital just before Christmas.

I wanted to comment on the care that was - without exception - respectful, supportive and communicative. At all levels across the multi-disciplinary team, my comfort and dignity were prioritised and everything explained thoroughly to me with an understanding of my level of knowledge and wishes for detail. From the details of the anaesthetic agent to clear info on how I would feel on recovery to specific discussion of treatment options, the whole team were brilliant.

In the recovery suite, the staff were calm, considerate and aware of the level of input required by each patient, mainly according to levels of dependency, but did not ignore the more independent of us!

Overall, an excellent experience with all staff contributing to making what could have been an undignified and worrying visit positive.
