"my wifes apointment at the david anderson center"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology (Stomach and Gut)

(as a relative),

she went to her appointment for her gastric band that appears to be failing as she has had it ten years now and has had very little after care in this time she can hardly eat properly and all she gets from her dietician is you are still eating too much but these people don't seem to know how the band works they just seem intent on bullying people with weight problems and demoralizing those with genuine problems they make suggestions of food to eat that are imposable to eat with a gastric band and make it seem that she is unwilling to try and was sent a way in tears.

She only wants some one to look into what is going wrong but I think that department show no knowledge or compassion about these procedure's as there experience only seams to be with eating disorders only. I think its time there was more experienced staff in place for people with the band because it feels like they have just been forgotten and left to fend for them self's as these procedures are no longer done. She is now at her wits end and now as she was told she was still eating too much she is now refusing to eat at all thank you very much David Anderson building
