I was admitted to East Surrey A&E with heavy bleeding. I was then told I was pregnant and going through a miscarriage, and moved to the Brockham Early Pregnancy Unit. The following evening I suffered extreme bleeding, however what happened next has traumatised me for life - more than the miscarriage itself. A doctor came into the ward (which was full with 5 other patients) and told me they were going to take out the 'products', they then proceeded to pull these out of me with absolutely no pain relief or respect to move me into a private area, whilst I shrieked and wanted to die.
After this horrific ordeal, I was then told they would need to take me into theatre to do the procedure again. Once they had left I had to ask the nurse to move me away from the huge pool of blood and remains I was left sitting in on the bed, which she and a colleague placed into a green 'products' bag. The surgery went to plan and the aftercare complete with blood transfusions were fine, however no-one would ever discuss what happened with me.
This has left me absolutely traumatised, angry and upset and I would request immediate action and answers please, to try and help me process what happened that night and try and possibly move on with my life.
