"Ridiculous joke"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Gynaecology

Have spent a year in and out this hospital. The most recent I spent 3 weeks as impatient. I put up withant infestation in my cubicle. Canulas took too long to change or staff were unable to leaving numerous puncture holes. One dr put the cannula abd covered myself & the bed is blood Which wasn't cleaned off for 2 days. Staff were rude refused prescribed iv pain relief. Told me that the scans showed nothing and it was functional pain so basically in my head. I was made so uncomfortable by staff that I had to discharge myself. 6 weeks later I had a follow up scan and they found a 6cm cyst on my ovary. It took them a further 8 weeks to confirm by MRI. Which I came out of the Mri machine in a pool of my own blood as the dye valve had failed and last 10 minutes was pumping my blood out. I finally got an operation date and it was cancelled because they booked it as a day patient instead of an inpatient. I had to phone them to find this out and that no more operations unless emergency were taking place until the end of Jan 2017.

Nearly a year I have suffered in pain and at times psychologically broken by staff at this hospital. But I have no choice but to receive treatment from them or start a further 18 week wait somewhere else which becomes expensive when u don't drive and stressful not having family support because have gone out of area. Medway Maritime I just hope you sort out the issues you have swiftly and regain patient confidence.
