"A&E - thank you"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Accident and emergency

I had to visit A&E for a sad reason today as I was having a miscarriage with complications.

I was very uncomfortable and extremely upset.

I was shocked at how little space there was and how crowded it was on a Thursday afternoon but the nurses and doctor I saw treated me very kindly and well.

There was a lot of waiting but not more than I'd expect at a busy London hospital of King's size.

My husband and I were extremely impressed by how compassionate, efficient and professional they were, working in really tough conditions.

Thank you.

We are so sorry to hear about your reason for visiting the Denmark Hill Emergency Department.

In the circumstances, it is extremely thoughtful of you to share your comments and we are very pleased to hear that the staff looked after you so well, despite the wait and the crowding in the department.

Sincere thanks.
