My appointment earlier at the Rheumatology Clinic left me feeling annoyed and entirely dissatisfied. Upon arrival at the clinic the reception nurses offered no explanation of where I was required to go or when I would be able to see the consultant. When I eventually was brought to the consultant I felt I was handled in a rude and brusque manner. My patient notes regarding my medications were completely incorrect and missing several of my medications. The consultant was extremely rude when I was unable to produce the results of the last few blood tests from my GP and tried to demand that I made more of an effort to facilitate the exchange of information between these two service providers, When it came to reviewing my medication levels the consultant gave me a few vague choices with no explanation of the potential consequences on my quality of life. Overall I am going to request a change of consultant and hospital as I have been left feeling completely let down by the appointment quality I received today and have no wish to repeat the experience. There is no way I would recommend this clinic to anyone, and I will actively try to avoid it in the future.
